Pelvic
Scans

Pelvic scans and assessment of uterus and ovaries.

Assessment of endometrial thickness.

Assessment of pelvic swellings and ovarian cysts.

Follicle tracking to assess the number and size of the ovarian follicles during the course of fertility treatment.

Hysterosonography to evaluate the uterine cavity for evidence of congenital abnormalities, presence of endometrial polyps or uterine fibroids, which cause distortion of the uterine cavity. This is particularly important in women with fertility problems, abnormal uterine bleeding, recurrent miscarriage, and history of preterm labour.
