Dr Galal is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist with a distinguished academic and clinical career in both Australia and the United Kingdom. He holds fellowships from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in Australia and New Zealand (FRANZCOG) and in the UK (FRCOG), alongside a PhD, a Master’s degree (MSc) in his specialty, and the joint RCOG/RCR Diploma in advanced ultrasound from London. His training and qualifications reflect a sustained commitment to excellence and to the highest standards of patient care.

Across many years as a senior consultant at John Hunter Hospital and conjoint senior lecturer at the University of Newcastle, Dr Galal contributed extensively to medical education. He taught medical students, supervised junior doctors, and regularly participated in GP training. He has instructed in numerous obstetric emergency courses through the Advanced Life Support Group, published in respected medical books and journals, and presented at professional meetings in the USA , Uk, Australia and Italy. Throughout his career, he has also served as an examiner for final‑year medical students at universities in Australia and the UK and as an external examiner overseas.

In his consulting rooms on Darby Street in Cooks Hill, Dr Galal provides comprehensive  gynaecological and obstertic care, including advanced ultrasound services and a range of outpatient procedures such as colposcopy, cervical biopsies and endometrial biopsies. His surgical practice encompasses laparoscopic, abdominal and vaginal procedures, performed at Lake Macquarie Private Hospital, Warners Bay Private Hospital and Ramsay Surgical Centre.
